Catigen / About
A platform for healthcare infrastructure — not a contractor for hire.
Catigen exists to close the gap between the demand for care and the supply of finished, financed, well-run healthcare assets across Africa and emerging markets.
Healthcare infrastructure as an investable public good.
Across emerging markets, the constraint on healthcare is rarely demand. It is the absence of a system that can finance, deliver and operate infrastructure as a durable asset.
Capital sees risk it cannot price. Providers carry projects they were never resourced to structure. Facilities get built and then degrade because operations were an afterthought. Catigen was created to remove that fragmentation — to act as the single platform that turns healthcare demand into bankable, durable, well-operated assets, and to keep those assets performing long after handover.
As the infrastructure and capital-structuring partner behind operators like Sariva, Catigen brings the financial, technical and clinical-operational disciplines into one accountable system.
We design for the whole life of the asset.
Fragmented delivery
Design, finance and operations are handled by parties who never share accountability — so risk falls between the gaps.
One integrated platform
Infrastructure, capital and clinical intelligence are engineered together, under one performance mandate.
Assets that endure
Facilities that are financed to be bankable, built to specification and operated to compound their value.
Three shifts that define us.
From projects to platforms
We don't sell discrete projects that end at handover. We build a repeatable platform that originates, structures and operates assets at scale.
From construction to asset creation
A building is not the deliverable. A financed, performing healthcare asset — with clinical and financial outcomes designed in — is.
From advisory to integrated intelligence
Advice that stops at a report leaves the risk with the client. Catigen carries intelligence through structuring, delivery and operations.
Capital, infrastructure and clinical outcomes belong in one equation.
Our philosophy is simple: healthcare infrastructure should be treated as an investable public good — where the interests of investors, providers and patients are aligned by design, not left to chance.
When infrastructure is financed responsibly and operated intelligently, returns and outcomes stop competing. That alignment is the asset class Catigen is built to create.
Stewards of the platform.

Rotimi Ajala
"A hospital is only as valuable as the years it keeps running. We finance and build for that — the asset, not the announcement."
Rotimi Ajala founded Catigen to bring institutional discipline to healthcare infrastructure in markets where it has been missing. He leads the platform's strategy across infrastructure development, capital structuring and clinical-operational integration — connecting investors, providers and governments around assets that are built to last.
Under his leadership, Catigen positions healthcare infrastructure as a credible, investable asset class and partners with operators across the sub-Saharan region to deliver it.
